Butterfly Art: I discovered the butterfly after my 10 week stay on the maternity floor in a hospital. During the first couple weeks we began to notice that every now and then there would be a butterfly taped to a pregnant or postpartum patient's door. Then one day the butterfly appeared on the door right beside mine. I finally asked my nurse what it meant. We were saddened to hear the butterfly was used to represent the loss of an infant. A few weeks later we too were graced with a butterfly on my door.
